This program automatically makes any number of backup version copies from files in directories which you can define as monitored, anytime a file gets changed (e.g. when the Save comand is executed in any application).
So you always keep several versions of a file, anytime a file gets changed. This is particularly important when working with documents where a data loss is not immediately visible, for example large documents; SecurDat is an essential tool when working with important documents, in mission-critical and business environments.
The parameters and conditions for every single directory are vastly configurable.
With SecurDat you create the list of monitored directories.
SecurTray then monitors those directories and performs the backup of new and changed files.
Actually the programs user interface can be switched between 2 languages: English and German; (adjustable in 'Options/Global ...'). Italian and other languages are planned for the future.
The program was successfully tested in Windows® 95/98/2000 and Windows® NT 4.0.
The program does not write to the Registry (why it should?), but it saves all configuration files in its own program directory.
BTW, since version 2.0 SecurDat is Shareware. You can test the program for 30 days. If after this period you want to monitor more then one folder you must register SecurDat. The registration fee is very moderate compared with the power of the program and the benefit you can derive from it.
