General Options

Position and Size of the program's window: These options control whether the position and/or the size of the PA-RUN program window will be restored at the startup of PA-RUN. Usually it is useful to have them both restored.

Start PA-RUN automatically with Windows: It is highly recommended to have PA-RUN started automatically with Windows. This allows you to bring up PA-RUN instantaneously with a global hotkey which can be customized here. The PA-RUN startup link is stored in the directory defined by Microsoft as CSIDL_COMMON_STARTUP which translates to the directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Automatically set Active/Work Directory to Program directory: If this option is checked and you insert a program file into the Program watch edit-field by an external action (e.g. by dragging and dropping a program to the PA-RUN window) then the directory where this program is located will automatically be inserted into the Active directory edit-field. For example:
Check this option. Then drag a program's icon (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe from the Windows Start menu) to the PA-RUN window. This will automatically insert the directory path C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird into the Active directory edit-field.
This option can be useful in some situations.

Check for update automatically: If this option is checked then PA-RUN every X days checks online at program start in the background if an update is avalable.

Update Interval (days): Here you can set the number of days between automatic update checks.
